In this amusing spoof by The Onion, six mock interviewees describe what they want in order to be happy. As you'll discover, every American wants to be safe, happy, rich, and comfortable. In other words, they have virtually unlimited wants. Economics is about scarcity and the trade-offs that are necessary in a world with nearly unlimited wants and limited resources. The video is funny, short, and makes a compelling point in a great way—we can't have everything we want! I show this clip during my first lecture of the semester and students really enjoy it.
