Shopping for Ten

Jon and Kate Plus Eight

Kate grocery shops for her family of ten. She explains how she uses coupons and must stretch her dollar in order to feed everyone on $150 a week. Unlike a lot of shoppers Kate concentrates on the price per ounce in order to maximize the amount she can buy. She also stocks up and freezes stuff when it is on sale. Since the kids are sleeping while she is shopping and a friend is watching the kids she has to get all the food she needs in two hours. Great scene for teaching about consumer behavior.
