Media Type: TV Clips Topic: Supply & Demand

iCarley

Carley and Sam advertise Techfoots on their webcast and their classmates increase their purchases of them. This causes a change in preferences/tastes that shifts the demand curve outward. My suggestion is that you show the scene in class and ask your students whether this is a shift in demand or supply. Then, once everyone agrees that it causes a change in demand shift the demand curve to the right to show that the increased demand will cause prices to rise as well as an increase in the quantity demanded.
