Butters' Bottom B****

Media Type: TV Clips Topic: Pricing, Elasticity, The Firm

South Park

Butters decides to sell hugs for $2 when he discovers that not everyone can afford kisses at the kissing booth for $5. Butters has stumbled upon the concept of price elasticity of demand and leverages elastic demand by providing a lower price point to drive sales. Very clever scene that shows how successful businesses find multiple ways to entice customers.
