This clip shows a military unit’s mess officer explaining to his commanding officer than he can turn a profit acquiring eggs, olive oil (they’re stationed in the Mediterranean in WWII), and other commodities for the unit. This scene can be used to show incentives, how rationing affects prices, and entrepreneurship. This is also a useful starting point for how war efforts distort market prices.
